Plan Options

Northwestern State University’s meal plan requirements stipulate that all on-campus residents, except graduate students, purchase a meal plan. Freshmen (those students with less than 30 hours and residing on-campus) must purchase the Unlimited Plan. If you do not select a meal plan you will automatically be given the Unlimited Plan.Our meal plans include traditional meals at the all you care to eat Iberville Dining Hall facility. You also have the choice of “Demon Dollars” on your meal plan. This is a declining balance that allows you to eat at any of our dining locations on campus with the swipe of your card, but also gives you the added bonus of being able to make purchases at our convenience store with your Demon Dollars! We also offer declining balance only meal plans that give you the freedom to eat any meal where you want at our on campus locations.

Meal Plan Change Forms

The last day to change your meal plan or to request an exemption from a meal plan is seven (7) days after classes start. After that date, no changes will be made unless under the specific direction from the General Manager of Sodexo. Students who are allowed to cancel traditional meal plans after the seventh day of classes will be charged a prorated amount based on two week time periods up until the final day to resign or drop courses with a grade of “W” as published in the schedule of classes. There will be no refunds after the final day to resign or drop courses with a grade of “W” as published in the Schedule of Classes. There are no refunds on Declining Balance meal plans.

If you need to fill out an Exemption from Campus Dining Services, the form may be obtained from the One Card Office or online at http://onecard.nsula.edu . Fill out the form completely and email it to onecardoff@nsula.edu. You will be notified if your Exemption from Campus Dining Services has been approved or denied.

 

If you have Demon Dollars left on your account at the end of the Fall semester, these Dollars will roll over ONLY if you purchase a meal plan for the Spring semester. However, you must use all of your Dollars by the end of the Spring semester. Demon Dollars do NOT roll over from the Spring semester to Summer.

NOTE: YOU ONLY NEED TO FILL OUT AND SUBMIT THE AGREEMENT IF YOU DO NOT WANT THE DEFAULT PLAN. THE DEFAULT PLAN WILL BE ASSIGNED TO ALL LIVING IN HOUSING UNLESS YOU REQUEST OTHERWISE AND YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THE PLAN YOU SELECT.

Guest Meal Rate

  • Breakfast: $6.59  
  • Lunch: $9.09
  • Dinner: $9.09
  • Weekend Brunch  $9.09
  • Faculty Staff: $6.25

The following meal plans are available to everyone. However, if you are a freshman living on campus you are required to have the unlimited meal plan. 

  • Unlimited Plan | $1985.00 - Default Plan & All Freshmen Required - This plan offers unlimited eat in meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday through Friday, and brunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday at Iberville Dining Hall. You may enter Iberville up to two times per meal period with this plan so you don’t have to worry about missing a meal. You also get $300 Demon Dollars to use at any dining location including the, C-Store, Café Demon, Chick-fil-a and Steak ‘n Shake.
If you are a Sophomore or above (those students with 30 hours or above), the following meal plans are available to you. If you do not choose a meal plan, you will be assigned the Unlimited Plan.
  • 5 MP Plus | $1460.00 - This plan offers 5 meals per week – about 1 meal per school day at Iberville Dining Hall, and $575 in Demon Dollars. The Plus is you get $575 Demon Dollars to use at any dining location including Iberville Dining, C-Store, Café Demon, Chick-fil-a and Steak ‘n Shake.
  • Vic's Ultra | $1150.00 - This plan is a declining balance plan with a $1150 beginning balance. You get $1150 Demon Dollars to use at any dining location including Iberville Dining, C-Store, Café Demon, Chick-fil-a and Steak ‘n Shake
  • Vic's Lite | $750.00 - This plan is a declining balance plan with a $750 beginning balance. You get $750 Demon Dollars to use at any dining location including Iberville Dining, C-Store, Café Demon, Chick-fil-a and Steak ‘n Shake.
If you are a commuter/non-resident student or faculty/staff, the following options are also available to you.
  • Vic's Commuter | $200 - This plan is a declining balance plan with a $200 beginning balance. You get $200 Demon Dollars to use at any dining location including Iberville Dining, C-Store, Café Demon, Chick-fil-a and Steak ‘n Shake.

  • 2 Meal Plan Plus | $575 - 2 Meals per week /$325 in Demon Dollars per semester - This plan offers 25 meals per semester at Iberville Dining Hall. The plus is you get $325 in Demon Dollars to use at any dining location including Iberville Dining, C-Store, Café Demon, Chick-fil-a and Steak ‘n Shake

  • 10 Meal Plan | $975 - This block meal plan gives you 10 meals per week in the all you care to eat Iberville Dining Hall- perfect for the off-campus athlete or student that wants the value of a meal plan but will not be on campus as much as a resident.
  • Summer MP/$300  
    $275 in Declining Balance Default Plan- Each sold plan will have a $25 admin fee. 

  • Summer MP Plus/$450 
    50 Meals- Each sold plan will have a $25 admin fee.
